On the border of San Donato in Collina, at only 14 km. from Florence and with a regular bus connection to the old town of Florence, Casa Spiano opens on a shady courtyard and is surrounded by olive plantations and old trees.
It is an old country house entirely restructured and restored: it has two wings, one looking to the south, the other to the east, and one dependance.
The swimmingpool (6m x 12m) is located in a sunny corner of the garden, near a very old holm oak. Heated with solar panels, it's open from the 1st of April to the 30th of October.

The east wing, Aretina, (90 sq.m.) is named after the ancient road going to Arezzo.
At the ground floor you enter a large living room, with a vaulted ceiling and divided in two by a wide arch.
An ancient stone staircase leads to the first floor, with the two bedrooms: the double room enjoys the charming view of an old windmill tower.

The south wing, named Valdarno, (90 sq. m. ) overlooks the valley of the same name.
At the ground floor you reach a welcoming entrance from which you proceed, on the left, to the living room with its library, and to the right, to the large kitchen, with its original bread oven and its ancient wooden beams. The bedrooms are both on the first floor: the double room enjoys the view of the Vallombrosa mountains while the twin room overlooks the enchanting courtyard.

On the outer side of the courtyard of Casa Spiano, the entirely restructured Capanno faces the old olive grove, while the sunny terrace overlooks the slopes of the Valdarno.
At the groundfloor you enter the living room, leaning on one side against the original stone wall, and being warmed on the opposite side by the large fireplace. From the dining table you can enjoy the view of the valley.
The kitchen opens directly on the garden, inviting to dress the table under the olive tree.
On the first floor the double bedroom, looking east, gives access to the terrace; the twin bedroom, turned towards the courtyard is lighthened by the old, traditional windows in florentine terracotta.
